Calico Laine was established in 1973 by David & Wendy Baker. They started off doing the local markets at Birkenhead, Chester, Great Holmer Street (Liverpool), Neston & Oswestry. Over time we opened a shop in Liscard, Wirral & 2 retail units in Neston, Cheshire.

Approximately 18 years ago we moved away from the market scene & took over a full time shop. During the summer of 2006 we opened our online e-commerce store. In August 2008 we opened a 2500 square foot unit as part of our planned expansion for our e-commerce store & mail order deptartment.

Mail Order

Since 2006, Calico Laine has been running an ever-expanding mail order division. Through our mail order division we have brought our vast range of quality fabrics, haberdashery, crafts goods and diamante items to doorsteps all over the UK

Our online objective is to offer our huge range of products at unbeatable prices supported by passionate and in-depth product knowledge
