Ordering Online

Calico Laine has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. All orders are transmitted over secure Internet connections using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption technology. All of your personal information including your credit card information are stored in encrypted format at all times. More specifically, your credit card information is only used by Calico Laine until your transaction is completed - it is never stored on a server or saved in a database, online or off. Additionally, all user information is protected by a multi-layer firewall based security system.

We operate a '' if it's in stock it goes out the same day'' policy. We try to stock all of the items listed on our website. From time to time items will go out of stock. If this does happen we will contact you & keep you informed.

Payment Options

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Solo, Visa Electron and Maestro as forms of payment.

Please Note: When paying by card you will be transferred to our HSBC banking system. Please follow all prompts and after payment has been accepted you will be returned to our order complete page.

Personal Cheque - We accept Cheques made payable to Calico Laine. To pay by Cheque please send your order & Cheque to us at the below address. The minimum order value for cheques is £10.00.  Please note if paying by cheque then you must allow 5 working days for cheque to clear before goods can be despatched. We only accept Cheques from within the UK.

Can I order over the phone?

We understand it's sometimes easier to talk to a "real live human" when placing an order. Call us anytime Monday to Saturday between 08.30 and 17.00 & we will take your order over the phone. Minimum Order Value

Please note that the minimum order on this site is £5.00. The main reason behind this is administration charges. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Confirmation of orders

After placing an order you will get a confirmation email within 10 minutes. If you place an order with Calico Laine and don't get a confirmation email check your "junk" mail folder - it will probably be in there.

Shipping and delivery

We will ship anywhere in the world.

There are two shipping options and they depend upon where you live.

Within the UK:  Free Shipping.  Please allow 7 working days for delivery within the UK or 14 days if paying by Cheque.

Please Note: Unless you have paid for next day delivery we cannot be held responsible for any delays with postage. If you need your goods urgently please contact us to arrange next day delivery.  

Next Day Delivery: This service is available & the costs are as follows:

Mainland UK £6.95 per parcel / packet

Scottish Highlands £12.00 per parcel / packet (in certain areas this is a 2 day service)

Northern Ireland & Isles Of Scilly £12.00 per parcel / packet (in certain areas this is a 2 day service)

European & Worldwide

Please allow up to 28 days for delivery (see timescales below)

These timescales are only guidelines – we endeavour to deliver your item inside these.

At the checkout section you need to select your shipping option. Orders without the correct postage cannot be processed.

Please note: When goods are sent via parceline for next day delivery they will need signing for. If you are not in at the time of delivery a calling card will be left for you to arrange another delivery. If after 5 days you have not claimed your goods they will be returned back to us. If goods are returned back to us we will contact you to let you know. To have them redelivered will be the same as the above prices. We cannot be held responsible if you are not in for delivery or fail to rearrange a delivery date with parceline.

Method of delivery

All are items are sent through either Royal Mail or Parcel Line. If you have paid for next day delivery you can track your order at www.parceline.co.uk . Please ask for your tracking number when placing your order.

Returns

We want you to be happy with your order from Calico Laine. If you are not 100% happy then please either contact us or return the item for a refund. All we ask is that you return the item in the condition it was sent to you in within 14 days of the sale date.  Certain items are not returnable. These are items that are specially ordered in for a customer & items that are ''cut off'' for each individual order.

Please note: We do not refund postage costs. Items that are returned back to us for refunds will be minus postage costs.

Exchanges

We do accept exchanges, simply return the item to us with a covering note explaining what you would like in exchange. Goods must be received back in the same condition they were sent in.

When returning goods or exchanging them please keep your proof of postage back to us. Items that are damaged or lost in the post we cannot be held responsible for.

Damaged / Defective Goods Replacements

Items are carefully designed and packaged to withstand the rigors of travel, but sometimes damage does occur en route. Please inspect your purchase immediately upon receipt. If there is any damage or if any product is defective, contact us within 7 days to arrange for a replacement to be sent to you. Keep all of the original packing material. Please contact us if this does happen so we can take the matter up with our delivery people.
