The Bridal Veil is a tradition, which dates as far back as biblical times and even predates the wedding gown. Veils worn in ancient Rome would have been bright red and in ancient Greece yellow. Today, the most traditional colours worn by brides are the more subtle tones of white and ivory. Not only is the Veil a traditional piece of attire it is also a fashion statement, highlighting your appearance and enhancing the stunning, intricate features of your beautiful gown. Mystical and mysterious, the Veil adds to the overall romance and drama of your wedding outfit.
Traditionally, the most common length of Bridal Veils would have been chapel length, reaching to the floor and cathedral length, the same length as the bride’s train, which was once only ever worn in cathedral ceremonies. The passage of time and changing fashions have seen lengths of Bridal Veils become progressively shorter to include waltz, fingertip, elbow and shoulder length Veils, designed to compliment the more intricately detailed style of gown which has become popular with modern brides.
