Over the last few years we have seen design house Alfred Angelo creating dresses from gorgeous Dressmaking Fabrics for the walt disney company in disney's fairy tale wedding collection. With the popularity of Frozen in the last year or so it was inevitable that they would create a dress with a frozen theme and this has been hotly anticipated by many. Last week, at international bridal week in New York the Queen Elsa-inspired wedding dress was revealed. [caption id="attachment_7876" align="alignleft" width="200"]Elsa Wedding Dress Layers of lightweight Dressmaking Fabrics create this gorgeous gown.[/caption] The designers used layers of lightweight and floaty Dressmaking Fabrics such as organza, tulle, satin and glitter net. With a sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice and wispy train, this dress will give any bride an elegant look and is available to buy in ice blue, similar to Elsa's dress, as well as the traditional wedding colour, white. If you are making your own wedding dress or having it made by a tailor and want to recreate this look you can achieve a similar look with a number of different Dressmaking Fabrics. For the floaty look created by Alfred Angelo you could use layers of chiffon fabric and embellish this with Swarovski crystals to create the glittering 'snow effect' seen on the disney version of the dress. If you want the dress to have just a hint of ice blue but do not want a strong colour, you could use an organza Dressmaking Fabric as a bottom layer and have chiffon as an overlay to dull the colour underneath. The same could be done with a duchess satin under layer with chiffon or organza over the top. Again, this can be embellished with beads and sequins to create snowflake patterns or other decoration.
