Now the cold is coming many people are getting their knitting needles out to make new garments to keep them warm and cosy. This is the case especially for making baby garments as children need to feel the warmth more than anyone. Knitted baby garments are not just great for keeping warm but also to look nice as they are so popular and trendy when it comes to children's wear. Here at Calico Laine we sell a variety of Knitted Wool especially for children's garments which are extra soft and feel more luxurious on babies skin.
When it comes to baby Knitting Yarn most people tend to opt for traditional baby colours like cream, baby pink and baby blue but for those who want to knit baby garments in more unusual colours they should try our wondersoft lullaby dk wool. Stylecraft lullaby double knit wool has great features and contains 55% nylon and 45% acrylic making the yarn extra soft on babies skin. It is a very practical wool and knits on 4mm knitting pins which we also have available in many different brands including essential, karbonz and nova cubics. This wool is machine washable at 30 degrees and can be tumble dried on a low heat.
Lullaby Knitting Wool comes in a variety of shades including the traditional baby colours as well as the deeper colours that are becoming more popular. These shades include deep blue, berry and candy which are all bright and stand out compared to the usual baby colours. It is not just lullaby wool that has experimented with these new shades, wondersoft double knit and wondersoft pearl have also tried out new popular brights that are becoming more of a children's wear trend.[caption id="attachment_7681" align="alignleft" width="300"] Baby Cardigan[/caption]
One of our customers created this beautiful baby cardigan using a deeper shade of pink instead of the usual traditional baby pink that you see all the time. This really makes the garments stand out a lot more from the shade and pattern used. Buttons also have a big part to play on babies wear as they finish the garment off which is the case on this cardigan.
Please come down to one of our stores or look online to see the new shades available in all baby Knitting Wool.
