Knitting Wool Online at Calico Laine

Knitting is once again becoming a very popular hobby, and we could not be happier about that. Here at Calico Laine we are very proud of wool department. All our yarns come from our favourite brand, Stylecraft. As they are fast becoming one of the UK’s leading brands in the knitting and crochet world, we can guarantee the highest quality, alongside style. We aim to stock a wide range knitting wool, from the key essentials, to latest fashion trends.

Batik Elements DK Wool

A favourite of ours from the Fashion Collection is the Batik Elements. This is a double knitting wool so it is very versatile and suits most projects. Like many Stylecraft yarns, the Batik Elements is a mix of acrylic and wool. As the wool twists together, it forms a delightful, rich blend of colours that looks beautiful when knitted up. Although they look great on their own, they are designed to work perfectly alongside the single colour Batik range.

Monet Aran Knitting Wool

Another great new addition to our range is the Monet Aran Wool. As the name would suggest, all the shades take inspiration from the work of impressionist artist Claude Monet. The stunning muted colours used are reminiscent of each of Monet’s most famous pieces of art, including Poppy Fields and Water Lilies. The blend of cotton and acrylic means this wool is perfect for making lovely soft clothing suitable for all year round. However, I suggest that these colour palettes are better suited for the summer months.

Head Over Heels All Stars Wool

If it’s bold colours you are looking for, then they don’t come much bolder than the Head Over Heels range. With a soft change in shades running throughout the wool, it creates a lovely striped pattern when knitted up. This durable knitting wool that has been designed specifically for items such as socks and gloves. However, it is also delicate enough for shawls and blankets. As such, this is a popular choice for knitters and crocheters alike.

These three very different yarns are all stunning in they’re own unique way. To see the full effect of them and how they look when knitted up, head over to the wool section of our website now. Happy browsing!
