Net curtains are a vastly poplar window dressing here in the UK and also further afield in foreign countries. In my short blog entry today on window nets I am going to talk a little about how to measure for Net Curtains. 1) Firstly, you need to measure the width of the window space that you are looking at covering. I would recommend measuring in centimetres as it is easy to convert this into metres and this is how net curtains are typically sold. 2) Secondly, the drop of the nets now need to be measured. When doing this I would measure from  where your pole or net curtain wire runs. Again I would measure in CM to keep things simply. One thing to bear in mind with the drop is that there is generally a little bit of give as you can move the pole or wire up or down a couple of CM to make the net fit. 3) Once you have measured you need to decide what gather you want on your nets. The industry standard is to double your width to give an effective fullness to your nets. You can choose to have your nets as full or as flat as you like - it really is personal choice. As you can see it really is simple to measure for Net Curtains and should not cause you too much stress! One thing to bear in mind is that if your drop is not standard we can always have these altered for you (there is an additional charge for this service). I hope you have found my entry informative and it has maybe helped you with you window net curtain measuring.
