If you're a parent or grandparent with young children at home, it can be difficult to keep them constantly entertained all day long - and sometimes this is the case with older kids at the weekend too! You might be trying to think of creative ways to spend time with them and give them something fun to do - so why not do some Craft projects with your young ones and get involved in helping them? One of the easiest Craft projects for children of any age to attempt is card-making. With so many different items available to purchase from Calico Laine, including (but not limited to) cards and envelopes, glitter, sequins, paint, glue and ribbon, every child can create a card exactly the way they want to. Why not get them to make a special card for a friend or relative’s birthday? Another great craft project idea for older children to have a go at is jewellery making. I have had a couple of young girls hoping to make name bracelets for their friends, which is something that I did myself as a child! If your kids are a little more adventurous and enjoy getting messy, let them try their hand at customising a piece of clothing or a bag. Some items that we would suggest for this are Dylon fabric paint and pens, or buttons and sequins that they can attach using glue from the large amount of types and brands that we stock.
