Crafts come in a variety of past times, this week we are looking at how to make cards. As we all know cards can be used for a variety of occasions. So why not create a personalised birthday card or get well soon card for your favourite loved one? Card making is the easiest of the Crafts to do all you need is some card which you fold into quarters to create the card shape or you can purchase ready made cards and envelopes here in store. From there you can get really creative using paints or colouring pencils/pens to draw a story relevant to you and your card receiver. You could also use pens or paint to draw speech bubbles to add some humour to your card. If you don't trust your own ability to draw or you don't have neat enough hand writing, why not use a rubber stamp? Or purchase some glue and stick photographs on the front, or use a glue pen to write names or messages and throw on some glitter to add that little bit of sparkle to your wishes. You could even give your card that professional touch and use a picture from a previously received card. You can even make your card have a 3D element so if your intended friend is really into designer labels you could purchase a small charm, like a high heel or lipstick and attach it to the front to give that added extra touch. Or if your friend is an avid fisher why not take a fishing hook and stick that to the front. But make sure you file the end down to prevent any accidents when the card gets opened. All your Crafts needs are available in store, so why not give it ago! [caption id="attachment_7433" align="alignnone" width="294"] Homemade card[/caption]
