Summer is on its way! So why not use these cold winter days to make some lovely new dresses? I know I will be. We have some beautiful summer print fabric, some made by a company called Rose & Hubble, who are very popular in the textile world.
Depending on the type of dress you make, you will more than likely have a certain type of fabric you would like to use.
- Rose & Hubble: These fabrics are made in EEC and are very high quality, they are Cotton Poplin and 115cm wide. I believe these fabrics are perfect for almost any garment, including dress's, tops and skirts. Rose & Hubble are excellent fabrics to work with as they are a good weight and good quality. We have some beautiful Floral patterns in many colours and styles.
- Gingham: A typical summer print that will never go out of fashion is definitely Gingham's. Gingham's can be used for all sorts of items such as a summer pinniform, school dress and even a pair of shorts. Our Gingham's come in colours such as orange, red, green, yellow, daisy patterned and many more. Most of our Gingham's are poly cotton, however we do sell cotton-rich Gingham and Seeker Sucker Gingham which are 100% Cotton. They also come with different size squares; 1/8th inch, 1/4 inch and inch wide.
- Viscose Prints: perfect for those summer dresses, tops, skirts and jackets. There are many colours, styles and patterns available in our Viscose range including a beautiful Floral Range, Animal prints and many others.
- Jersey: We sell different types of Jersey such as Cotton Jersey, Lycra Jersey and Viscose Jersey. These are all available in many colours such as pink, Blue, White, Black and many more. Also available are printed Jerseys in patterns including Floral Print, Indian, Animal Print and many more. These fabrics are perfect for Garments such as Bandaue's, Pencil Skirts, Dress and many more. The fabric is slightly difficult to work with, however if you have time and patience you can do it and it is well worth the wait.
