Ever since the Royal Wedding in April, everyone seems to have been taking inspiration from Kate Middleton and wearing white lace dresses. Here at Calico Laine we have a wide range of
lace fabric, including the currently popular white lace.
We have two types of white lace available which are:
- White corded lace - this is 53% cotton and 47% nylon corded flounce. This lace is available in 130-135 width and is made in Korea.
- White lace - this is 100% polyester and is available in 115cm width. The approximate weight is 47gsm.
We also have these types of lace in other colours both online and in store.
White lace has become a fast growing trend lately since the Royal Wedding, with many celebrities choosing to wear white lace dresses to red carpet events, however this trend tends to re-occur each season so making a product using white lace is guaranteed to keep you in style for years. Lace can either be dressed up with jewellery and accessories or left plain as it is an interesting design within itself, and white lace has many possibilites for colours it can be matched with including tan, black or red which seem to be popular this season.
Depending on the item you are hoping to make with lace, you may need a lining underneath. We have a wide range of
dress linings available in various different colours including white. These linings are 100% polyester and available in a width of 150cm. The lining is anti-statcic also so using it as a lining for a dress would be perfect as it is guaranteed to be comfortable and not static for as long as you're wearing it.
