In todays blog we are going to be talking about the beautiful range of Summer Prints that we stock here at Calico Laine, and some of their uses in Summer Dressmaking.
We currently stock three different ranges of Summer Prints: Florals, Spots and Stripes.
- Floral Summer Prints - In this section we have over 60 different designs to choose from. There are many uses and looks that can be used when Dressmaking with these stunning fabrics. Now we're coming into summer months, many garments become statement pieces, such as skirts, maxi dresses and playsuits. These items can be designed to be as or as bold and colourful as you wish. If you are after a more subtle floral pattern, some of the most popular designs include the Firenze Summer Prints, and our Sea Island Soft Lawn Prints, that have colour and design but are not too bright for those who are after a more conservative look. Our bolder designs include our Summer Print designs and a stunning example of this is the Summer Print 10,which is guaranteed to make a statement!
- Spots Summer Prints - This is a range of over 40 different designs, all with one theme in mind...Spots! Spots have often bee used to make an individual item of clothing, such as dresses and skirts, and continue to be popular for a daytime or evening look. We also stock other patterns such as our Star Fabric, which is also a beautiful fabric for in the summer.
- Stripes Summer Prints - We currently stock 5 different Striped Summer Prints, and with nautical fashion themes still going strong as we come into the summer, these fabrics can be turned into some beautiful items of clothing to really compliment any outfit.
