Here at Fabric-World we have a lot of customers who are keen crafters and we often get asked what type of glue is suitable for different craft projects. We stock a wide range of Glues and Adhesives and it can sometimes be a bit confusing as to what glue is best to use. In this post I will go through some of our products to clarify what they can be used for. 3 in 1 Advanced Craft Glue : This glue is comes in a 118ml bottle and is ideal for general paper craft. It clears dry and is a fast drying adhesive so is perfect for using for sticking paper, trims, glitter, trims, cardboard and foam. It can also be used for sticking ceramics and even wood together. It is an instant grab glue meaning that as soon as something is placed onto the glue it will stick immediately. It has a precision tip which makes it easy to use for items that need some precise detailing. It is also acid free and waterproof so is safe to use with children. Pronty Textile Glue : If you are planning on doing some crafts with textiles this glue would be appropriate. I have used this glue personally and have always found it to be excellent for gluing textiles together. It can be used to glue fabric together or even to stick them to wood, hardboard, chipboard and softwood. It is quick drying and very strong as well as being wash, steam and iron - resistant. At £2.99 for a 30ml tube it is a great buy. Felt Glue : As you can probably guess from the title this adhesive is specifically for use with felt. It can be used to bond felt, pom poms, feathers and trims which is ideal for those of you creating handmade felt items or doing crafts with children. Again, this dries clear and is non toxic. It is a thick glue so only a small amount needs to be used on one side of the felt and will dry within 3-4 hours. Gem Tac Glue : If you are looking to add a bit of bling to your craft items then this is the best glue for you. It is excellent for sticking gemstones, acrylic jewels, pearls and any other embellishments to a variety of materials. You only need to use a small amount of glue to create a permanent bond that will stick to most porous surfaces. The special formula used in Gem Tac Glue becomes stronger when heat is applied from a dryer and any excess glue can be removed from clothing with dry cleaning or with water if it is still wet. If you have any questions about the glues that haven't been mentioned in this post please feel free to get in touch with our sales team on 0151 336 3939. Or feel free to ask any questions on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Until next time, Laura Calico Laine
