For decades people have used Net Curtains in their homes as a way of providing privacy or simple decoration at their windows. We regularly sell nets online and in our store and many customers ask what is the best method of hanging them at the window. There are several options for displaying your Net Curtains, these are the two most popular methods. Curtain Wire: Most of our customer use this method to put up their Net Curtains and it is particularly favoured  as it can be cut to the exact measurement of your window and is cheap and cost effective. This can be used for nets, voiles and lightweight curtains but is not suitable for heavy weight nets. The curtain wire can be attached to your window frame, if it is wooden, by screwing in a small metal eye into the frame and screwing a small metal hook into the end of the wire and attaching the two. The hooks and eyes can be used either way round however we would usually suggest screwing the hooks into the end of the curtain wire. As the curtain wire is coiled inside the plastic casing it will allow a small amount of stretch to allow some give with the weight of the net. If you do not have a wooden window frame and have uPVC windows you can still use curtain wire to hang your Net Curtains. Instead of using a metal hook you can purchase small self adhesive pads with an end support attached. This time you would attach the metal eyes to the end of the curtain wire and hang this from the end support. Tension Rods: For slightly heavier Net Curtains, some people may want to use tension rods. This provides a more sturdy method of hanging and are particularly useful if you have a wide window to cover. With a tension rod there is no need for any additional fixings as the rod itself is held in place in  by the walls next to your window frame. Tension rods come in a variety sizes and is twisted to make it larger or smaller in size. Simply twist the rod to the required length and place it across your window using the wall to hold it in place.
